Made in America

Feb 7, 2007 by

Made is a very common name in Bali. We pronounce it as Mah-Day. So, when I see a piece of painted wall deco like this: part of my brain reads it as the usual “Made in America”, the other part smiles and sees it as Mah-Day in America. Ok, not that funny but it is late and the idea tickled me. These pieces of wall deco have done very well for us over the past couple of years. Don’t think you’re locked in to any one design — better to treat this series as a show case for the talents of the crafts people involved: they’ll be happy to work on new designs.
