Although the artistically painted wood panels have been around a while, we still like them — they’ve got depth, texture and the same level of skill that goes into a good canvas.

As always, newest models will be at the top.
Enjoy.

When it comes to Albesia Wood, you’ve got so many options on paint job, it can be a little overwhelming — natural wood finish, crazy painted finish, unfinished, true-to-life, craquelere, antique, colored stain…
… here’s another option: Two-Tone — click here to see the range — newest models at the top:

An odd little item, the Painted Eggshell — various sizes available refer to the size of the egg (of course). Makes me wish the dinosaurs were still around…
…one thing: a closer look (please click the thumbnail) really shows how expert our painter is at applying minute strokes of the brush. A real collector’s piece.

One other thing: this is hand work by an artist — we can apply the same process to any hard, smooth object that will accept the paint and we can paint anything… just a thought.

One of my favorite objects in the catalogue at this time: the shield. Designs inspired by the decorated (real) shields of the Asmat & Dayak tribes — these are modern made (meaning, they’re not real antiques) but they are affordable and saleable and they look awesome on the wall.

Some of these hand made wood puzzles are large, others small — some are simple; others intricate (in some cases annoying) – I can’t do them — no patience but we think you’ll like them.

Ok, of the ten thousand different things, you’ve been offered “on a stick”, primitive-style, hand carved wooden masks from Bali probably didn’t make the list — so, you can consider this a first.
Designed as free standing — table or desktop masks — same high level of carving, paintwork and design — just none of the hassle of mounting on your wall.

Cats have been extremely popular for us over the years — we’ve actually managed to produce and ship them by the container load (any idea on how many cats it takes to fill a container? A lot.).
Here are some new models — my favorites are the angel cats.
A note: these carvings do look like they’re designed for kids so, before you ask, they are finished with acrylic (not lead based) paint.

Indian style (skinny), Thai style (lying down), Chinese style (chubby fella laughing or walking off with his napsack). We like Buddha carvings of any shape, size, color or disposition.

Bali has probably cornered the market on bamboo vases — years ago, we’d planned to remove them from the catalogue because we couldn’t actually see the point of a purely decorative vase (they don’t hold water)…
…sales-wise, one of our best sellers.

Many of these birds have never flown to, in or over Bali — nevertheless, they’ve been reproduced with flair and attention to detail. Flamingoes, Pelicans, Ducks, etc., etc., & etc.

There’s a reason why we call this line a Balinese Classic — beautiful suar wood carvings — in my opinion, the very best of what Bali has to offer.
