We are planning on importing guitars from Bali to Montreal Canada, what do you recommend as method of shipping? we are planning to purchase 50 guitars at a time. air?sea?

Hi Roger,
LCL Sea Cargo, definitely. Yes you have to wait a long time and yes there is a greater risk of damage but guitars are light and bulky; you’ll get murdered on shipping charges trying to ship those by courier or air freight.

By the way, I’m assuming you’re talking about full sized guitars… if you’re talking about miniature guitars, they may still be cost-effective by courier, Indonesian post (express and standard).

We have thousands — no kidding — of albesia wood sculptures in our catalogue – it’s a very popular medium for sculptors and crafters in Bali.
In it’s unfinished form, Albesia or Belalu wood [Albizia falcata] may be nothing much to look at – it’s a soft, light colored wood very much like balsa wood (though heavier) but where it shines is that it is always in good supply, it’s easy to carve and, because albesia is relatively inexpensive, it’s the wood of choice for painted carvings.
For the USA market, Pelicans and related bird and nautical theme wood carvings are always in demand.
